MAGNITUDE 2.8 QUAKE STRIKES NEAR HYDESVILLE IN HUMBOLDT COUNTY
A magnitude 2.8 earthquake hit about 5 kilometers northeast of Hydesville in Humboldt County at 8:56 a.m. Saturday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor was centered roughly 21 kilometers below the surface.
