A magnitude 3.7 earthquake rattled the area 35 kilometers east of Hydesville in rural Humboldt County on Saturday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor struck at 2:44 p.m. PT at a depth of 24 kilometers.

Ten people reported feeling the quake, according to USGS. There is no immediate word on damage or injuries. The epicenter was in a sparsely populated region of the North Coast, which regularly experiences seismic activity.
