MAGNITUDE 2.7 EARTHQUAKE STRIKES NEAR COSO JUNCTION

A magnitude 2.7 earthquake rattled the area about 10 kilometers east of Coso Junction in Inyo County early Friday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake hit at 1:15 a.m. PT and was centered roughly 2 kilometers beneath the surface.
