A magnitude 2.6 earthquake hit Northern California on Saturday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor struck at 11:26 a.m. PT approximately 31 kilometers north-northwest of Covelo in Mendocino County, at a depth of 8 kilometers.

The quake was relatively minor and no immediate damage reports have been filed. It's not yet clear whether the temblor was felt by residents in the area.
