MAGNITUDE 3.3 EARTHQUAKE STRIKES NEAR PETROLIA IN COASTAL CALIFORNIA

A magnitude 3.3 earthquake rattled the area near Petrolia in Kern County early Monday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake was centered roughly 17 kilometers west-southwest of the town and struck at a depth of 9 kilometers at 12:18 a.m. PT.
