MAGNITUDE 3.1 EARTHQUAKE STRIKES KERN COUNTY EARLY SUNDAY

A magnitude 3.1 earthquake hit near Wofford Heights in Kern County at 2:37 a.m. PT Sunday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake centered about 5 kilometers east-southeast of the community and occurred at a depth of 4 kilometers.
