A magnitude 2.8 earthquake rattled the area northwest of The Geysers in Sonoma County Monday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake struck at 2:35 p.m. PT, centered about 7 kilometers northwest of the geothermal field, at a depth of roughly 2 kilometers.
