M3.3 EARTHQUAKE STRIKES NEAR PETROLIA IN CALIF COAST REGION

A magnitude 3.3 earthquake rattled the area about 17 kilometers west-southwest of Petrolia early Monday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake struck at 12:18 a.m. PT at a depth of 9 kilometers.
