MAGNITUDE 2.8 QUAKE STRIKES NEAR THE GEYSERS

A magnitude 2.8 earthquake rattled the area northwest of The Geysers in Sonoma County at 2:35 p.m. PT Monday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake struck just 2 kilometers below the surface, roughly 7 kilometers from the geothermal field.
