MAGNITUDE 2.7 QUAKE STRIKES NEAR SANTA BARBARA ISLAND
A magnitude 2.7 earthquake rattled the waters northwest of Santa Barbara Island early Sunday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported. The temblor struck at 6:12 a.m. PT at a depth of just 1 kilometer, roughly 35 kilometers north-northwest of the island.
