A magnitude 2.5 earthquake rattled the area about 11 kilometers north of Fillmore on Wednesday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor hit at 2:30 p.m. PT and was centered roughly 27 kilometers below the surface.

There are no immediate reports of damage or injuries. The quake was relatively shallow by some measures but deep enough that shaking may have been felt across a limited radius in Ventura County and surrounding areas.
