MAGNITUDE 2.5 QUAKE HITS ROUND VALLEY AREA
A magnitude 2.5 earthquake struck about 11 kilometers southwest of Round Valley in California on Monday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake hit at 2:54 p.m. PT and was centered roughly 17 kilometers below the surface.

The relatively modest temblor was felt in the region but no immediate damage reports or injuries have been reported at this time. Round Valley is located in Inyo County in the Eastern Sierra.
