M3.1 QUAKE RATTLES SALTON CITY AREA
A magnitude 3.1 earthquake struck about 12 kilometers west-southwest of Salton City on Monday afternoon, the U.S. Geological Survey reported. The temblor hit at 1:17 p.m. PT and measured 4 kilometers deep.
